James A. Crocker earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Grand Valley State University in 2006. Jim graduated (cum laude) from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2010. He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association as well as the Grand Rapids Bar Association.
Prior to joining Bleakley, Cypher, Parent, Warren & Quinn, Jim worked with a reputable workers' compensation firm representing injured employees. He also interned with Magistrate Judge Ellen Carmody at the Federal District Court of Western Michigan. While with Judge Carmody, Jim assisted in the development of modern case law by drafting Reports and Recommendations.
Throughout law school Jim was an active member of the Cooley Volunteer Corp., providing free legal assistance to underprivileged individuals in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area. He has also volunteered with the Hispanic Center of West Michigan and HEDS Up Los Ninos, a non-profit organization assisting individuals in Guatemala.
In his spare time, James enjoys spending time with his wife Kate and young daughter Leah. He recently began competing in cyclocross races.
