Michael D. Ward has specialized in commercial and tort defense litigation for over twenty years.

Mike received his Bachelor of Arts degrees from Albion College in 1983 in philosophy, business and economics, and his Juris Doctor from DePaul University, College of Law in 1986. He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and the Illinois Bar Association. Mike is also admitted to practice in the United States Federal District Courts in the Northern District of Illinois, the Western District of Michigan, the Eastern District of Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit and various other Federal Court jurisdictions throughout the country.

Mike specializes in civil litigation in all courts of the state of Michigan. He specifically focuses on commercial litigation, construction litigation, Michigan no-fault, automobile negligence, employment discrimination, securities fraud, arson fraud, product liability and premises liability. He has successfully argued before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and frequently appears before the Michigan Court of Appeals on various issues.

In 2001 Mike accepted a shareholder position with Bleakley, Cypher, Parent, Warren & Quinn.

Mike enjoys skiing, sailing, hockey, and fly fishing.  Mike has coached Lacrosse for the East Grand Rapids High School for several years.  He and his wife, Jane, have two children. Mike is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids where he serves on the council.
